| Welcome |
The Weary Boots Society – Weary Boots for brevity’s sake – is an assembly of old-hand explorers and promising new talent who are somewhat at odds with the current course the Ironforge Explorers League is taking.
Founded by a circle of veteran explorers from the days when the league was nothing more than an assembly of curious historians and wanderers gathering in the backroom of the “Weary Boots Tavern” – hence the name –, its members believe that the explorers’ true cause of gathering knowledge has recently been more and more compromised by the league’s involvement in the various campaigns of the Alliance. There has, they feel, been a tendency to invest too much time and talent into prospecting missions for profit in order to fund upcoming battles – a task, the Weary Boots Society’s members argue, which could be fulfilled by other, less-capable hands – while interesting developments remain unchronicled and new discoveries lie unexplored.
Note: We are always open to applications from roleplayers who wish to portray a member of the Explorers' League. However, there is a quota for non-dwarven applicants. Night Elves and Squids will probably be rejected unless your reasons for getting into a dwarven league are divinely inspired. Tall drinks of water (a.k.a. humans) have a chance running on slim-to-none. So you might want to make sure that you are a dwarf, a gnome or a dwarf (did I mention dwarves?) before applying.
